Get Your Bowl Of Cereal And Sit In Front Of The Tube

video

As a child of the 60's, you could not help hearing The Beatles on every radio within earshot. While I was to young to be buying anything musical I did collect Beatles bubblegum cards (still have a few) and a few odds & ends (Mom would not let me have Beatle boots). The market was not geared towards the kids my age until they started showing The Beatles cartoon series. This was right up our alley. So we made it a Saturday ritual to go over to a friends house, eat our cereal, and be hip like The Beatles.

This first episode is the promo developed to start the series. What better way to start this new/old Saturday tradition.

Let me know what you think.

As i'm a brit who was growing during the Beatles era.. I don't think this cartoon series was shown over here in the 60s, i seem to remember seeing one episode at sometime or other and thinking it was a little fake. Probably 'cos the vocal accents wasn't up to scratch.. Yep, the Beatles are still as fascinating as ever but man i'm bored of listening to them! well, to be honest they still sound great on a trani radio on a hot summers day while out in the garden.. regards AL.Z

Never thought about how this series was viewed by the other side of the pond. It's no wonder us Yanks do such crappy Brit accents today! We learned it from the telly in our youth. lol
That and the strange Scots sound from watching Sean Connery in the early Bond flix.

Thanks for the insite.

And we think all Americans talk like Texans! LOL.. well, not so much now we have stacks of tv channels. A couple of film stars that get the brit accent spot-on (from the top of my head)Renee Zellweger from "Bridget Jones's Diary" and the vampire geezer Spike from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"..Hey! any chance you could load a Sarah Geller piccy on the vibe station?? Oh go on.. just for a week or something :>) AL.Z
