Remember, It Never Hurts To Help

Today, September 9th was the birthday of one of the nicest people I have ever met on the internet or anywhere else for that matter. A true friend of the blogger community, surf music addicts, and guitar fanciers, my friend Randy, or as most of you know him Eek! the Cat, lost his long battle with illness on July 10th. I only found this out last week by a friend who had checked in to Randy's Facebook page and saw the notice. I'm still a little stunned over this. Strange, you might say, for someone who had never met the man in person but Randy had a way of really touching you with his open and kind manner. I know he had the same impact on many others out there as he always tried to keep upbeat no matter how bad he felt. I visited his Facebook page myself last week and saw how much he meant to his wife, daughters, brothers and friends. I know I will always feel the loss.

He was a remarkable man, my friend Randy.

Randy [Eek!] was a good friend to me as well.I don't really know what to say now that one of blogger buddies has passed away.Eek! was one of inspirations for blogging in the first place [along with you Trustar!]He will, and has been dearly missed.I just wish I got to meet the man in person.

Sad and tragic news!
with our mutual friend Randy I started the surf thing on my blog... He was a very good friend of mine, always friendly, and helpful. He invited me and my wife to Atlanta where he lived with his beloved wife Sharon. Unfortunately I never met him face to face...
I will always remember him with a smile, reverb, and some twang...

I only know him from his Eek the Cat blog, but he must have been a really great guy. It's sad he's no longer here. If there's a heaven, I imagine him hanging ten, strumming his guitar...

I wish there actually was a heaven for us cool cats like Eek to rest our heads in,but sadly that's just a figure of our imagination. R.I.P. Eek!

I think it's the first Surf-blog i saw. And he had a great taste!!!

It's a strange thing that someone, you don't know personally, can teach you things you would maybe never discover.

That's why it feels sad that he's gone.
i wish his family all the best.
